This hall of recognition honors the contributions of Richard "Dick" Rasmussen  (1972 - 1996).  Providing leadership in teaching and coaching, Coach "Ras" personified hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.  Ankeny Schools and the Ankeny community have been blessed  to have shared in his successes and are gratified "The Coach" passed our way.

Induction into the Hall of Honor symbolizes a coach's superior accomplishments in interscholastic athletics and reflects high esteem for the Hall's namesake.  Each inductee has made a mark and left a legacy.  Coaches have given of themselves to provide outstanding leadership for Ankeny students.  They have given tirelessly of themselves and their accomplishments have raised the standards of the coaching profession to a distinquished level, and elevated Ankeny Athletics to a celebrated rank.
